What would you say?

Motivation & Perseverance, Personal Journey · September 13, 2018

What would you say?

During an interview, I was asked, “Name something people don’t know about you and/or what do you think they do know about you.”

I thought that was an interesting question.
It was a question I had WAY too many answers for.

So I just rattled off,
‘My husband is my very best friend. We worked together, for decades, to earn that.
My son is my everything.
Mention my daughter’s name and I smile and cry simultaneously.
Favorite word: Daughter-in-law
I still call my father, ‘Daddy’
I like sweet potato fries, sushi, and wine.
I believe in the innocence of children.
Word association: “CF”…”FU”
I’ll never be ok.
Love never ends and God is just.
I know the importance of quality over quantity.
Karma’s a bitch and you always reap what you sow.
I wear heels, make-up, and my heart on my sleeve.
I love to read and need to write.
I cry in the shower.
I’m sure everyone is some degree of crazy.
I firmly love with all my heart and live without regret.
Intelligence is sexy and mean people are ugly.
Dr. Seuss was a genius.
I am a conservative traditional who loves all open hearts with good souls.
I respect the earth and I’m in absolute awe of Mother Nature.
I don’t do guilt.

Sometimes there are no second chances.

I embrace life, I don’t fear death.
Mosquitos love me.

And then I decided on one sentence for both questions, and I said,
“I have complete gratitude for all that is my life.”
Your turn, how would you answer?

“Name something  people don’t know about you and/or what do you think they do know about you.”

It’s amazing how strong you can become when it’s your only option.
