DESCRIPTION:Milton Library Celebrates Founder’s Day with Local Author Margarete Cassalina\n \n  \nThe Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library in Milton New York is pleased to announce that \nMargarete Cassalina\,  a Milton resident and author of the award-winning book Beyond Breathing which recounts her struggle to overcome the loss of her 13-year-old daughter Jena to Cystic Fibrosis (CF)  as well as her second (fiction) book  See You At Sunset will be the speaker and signing her books at the \nLibrary’s Founder’s Day on Wednesday\, April 11\, 2018\, at 7 pm. \nMargarete Cassalina is the mother of Eric and Jena\, who were born with cystic fibrosis\, and attended Milton Elementary School and the Marlboro Central Schools. Jena was 13 years old when she moved up to Heaven while waiting for a double lung transplant. She was an avid reader and attended programs at the Library. \nIn Beyond Breathing\, Margarete Cassalina bares her soul in a heart-wrenching memoir about the life and loss of her daughter and her battle with cystic fibrosis. Her journey takes you from unfathomable heartache to love and the understanding of life’s realities. Margarete and her husband Marc are active in the national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and have dedicated their lives to finding a cure. \nMy her new book\, See You At Sunset   Margarete bridges you from her non-fiction life into the fictional world of her imagination while still adhering to her passion of bringing awareness to CF.\nSee You at Sunset’s brief description: A teenager challenged by cystic fibrosis is helped through her daily struggles by a compassionate doctor\, her devoted mother\, and a quiet spirit whose work on Earth is not quite done.
