Jena was 13 years old when she died while waiting for a double lung transplant. She was an avid reader and attended programs at the Library. \nA barn star donated by Ginia Coppola in Jena’s honor will be placed in the Library at this event. \nIn “Beyond Breathing”\, Margarete Cassalina bares her soul in a heart-wrenching memoir about the life and loss of her daughter and her battle with cystic fibrosis. Her journey takes you from unfathomable heartache to love and the understanding of life’s realities.
